On 17th June 2006, an unknown duo called The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican played, what they believed at the time, would be a one-off gig at Thawley's Pub in Wombwell, Barnsley in front of about 10 people.

Ten years to the day, on 17th June 2016, the band, as they were to become, played a sold-out hometarn show at Barnsley Rock & Blues Venue to a 200-strong crowd.

This is the 'official bootleg' of show #693, the Doonicans' 10th Birthday Bash in all it's rowdy drunken glory. It was also to be the final performance from Andy Doonican who retired from the band shortly after.

Thanks to Pocketful O' Nowt, The Sweetchunks Band, Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, Marcus Ward, Jenny Fuller, the audience for joining us, and especially to Amanda, as without her idea, we'd never have been anything.

It's dedicated to Andy Doonican, and everyone who has supported and/or helped us over our ten-year journey. Cheers!
