about

The 80's Covers Concept Album:

We thought, seeing as we were doing a lot more 80's songs in our set at the time, that it'd be fun to do a full 80's album. The concept was to make our second studio outing sound like an episode of Top Of The Pops.

We then listed a whole load of 80's songs that we liked, but when we looked closely we realised that a lot of them had been number one hits. It was soon decided that the album would feature a number one from every year of the 80s starting in 1980 and finishing in 1989.

It is also the first time we had the pleasure of getting Alan Doonican into the studio to add some accordion tracks.

We then started work on a follow-up DVD, a visual version of the album, including videos for several of the songs, most notibly Danny's wonderful Rick Astley impersonation in the video for 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.
