about

Recorded live at The Fitzwilliam Arms, Elsecar
Saturday 13th April

A rare outing for Scott Doonican, playing his first ever full-length 170-min solo show of stripped down Dooni-hits and a handful of 'shameless covers', recorded in front of a packed to capacity Fitzwilliam Arms in Elsecar, Barnsley, the weekend before The Bar-Steward Sons unleashed their Tarnlife Big 7" vinyl.

Those in attendance will know that this recording is completely unedited and is just how the show went on the night. It also was unofficially sponsored by Tarnlife Ale which Acorn Brewery made in collaboration with the band to coincide with the 7" record launch. The audience demolished a brand-new nine gallon barrel of the stuff during Scott's set that evening! Impressive drinking folks... even by BS/VD standards!

This album is dedicated to all of you that showed your amazing support that night, to Steve & Sharon and all the bar-staff at The Fitz who managed to serve the crowd despite the fact it was standing room only, and to Mike O'Brien and his late Auntie Doris who provided one of the most hilarious interval support acts ever witnessed.
